We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at the royal oak. It has an intimate little dining room and is very tastefully decorated. Next door, the bar area can be used for more informal dining. Our food was beautifully presented, I had fish and chips, mum had fish pie and my auntie the belly pork we enjoyed a bottle of chilean wine and the whole evening was a resounding success.

Staff pleasant and obliging. Limited options on early doors and would otherwise not be cheap. But one of our regular haunts and we like it. A good selection of real ales and will be attending the forthcoming beer festival
