we have visited san carlo many times but never thought about going upstairs to the bistro, but im glad we finally did. Maybe it is in the shadow of san carlo but either way, we had a fantastic time. The food was delicious, particularly the beef fillet, which was done exactly how i asked. would recommend to absolutely anyone, a big thumbs up.

I was very surprised to see we were the only couple in the restaurant - no exageration! I have been many times before and have enjoyed it each time, and this was no exception. The food was delicious and the service was good. Well worth a visit.

This is a fantastic restaurant, we are always suprised that there's not more people in. Dont be put off by the thought of snails, although they are available there are plenty of other more English style dishes to choose from such as... Steak, rack of lamb, salmon and sea bass! I highly recommend this restaurant to you.

Had a great evening, although not extremely busy the service could have been a little quicker. The food was superb, perhaps on reflection we should have taken a more relaxed French take on the experience. Well worth a re-visit!
